Catching UP!

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted. I thought once I finished my master's I would have tons of free time, but I feel like I have been busier than ever.

I've been taking lots of pictures of Makinsi though. She is getting old enough now that she poses a little bit. She loves to come and look at the picture on the camera after you take it. I got her a small camera for Easter. She's been playing with mine and trying to take pictures. She's doing pretty good. I took these pics out front at our house about a week ago. She justs cracks me up, she's so cute!

Easter Sunday we went to my Grandma's house. It was way to cold outside, but I had to get a couple of her and look I'm in a picture too. Grandma gave her a cracker as soon as we got there and I couldn't get it away from her.

Oh, another picture of me. I'm trying to be better about this.

Makinsi has really got into kissing and hugging everyone, including Bailey. She chases Bailey around the house trying to catch her so she can kiss her. Bailey is such a good sport about it. Eventually, Makinsi will get ahold of her kiss her on the nose and Bailey kisses her right back. Sunday she found this cat on Grandma's back porch. It didn't put up as much of a fight as Bailey does.

Then we hid Easter eggs in the house. She caught on to this pretty well to when she found out there was gummies in them.

Bailey helped too. She would find them as fast as Makinsi and take them straight to Lauren. She's so smart.

It amazes me how in love with a kid you can get. I loved my brother and sister when they were born and all the other cousins and kids around, but when one this close comes along there's just something about. It might have something to do with the fact that I can spoil her rotten and love on her like crazy and then she gets to go home. I have a very special aunt that I just adore and she's my role model for my relationship with Makinsi. I'm just so in love with her, it amazes me! I didn't know I could love someone so much that can't even talk yet!

I have several scrapbook pages to take pictures of but I might save that for next week. We had school two days this week and then have been doing Intersession Wed., Thurs., and Friday. I'm off all next week and have two scrap days planned already. So I might wait and put them all in one post next week. Makinsi and I are going couch shopping tomorrow, so hopefully we can find a good deal. That's all for now. Oh, Go Cards and Hilltoppers tonight! It's going to be a late night.

A White March...

Well, luckily we were already off of school today for an in-service day with all the snow that is expected. I woke up about 6 and looked out the window and didn't see much. When I finally got up later about 8:30 this is what was going on:

This is supposed to be the biggest snow storm we have had in a while so I thought I'd keep a visual of it. This mini-bat from the Louisville Slugger Museum is 17 inches long. Hopefully it won't get that deep.

At noon:

Little less grass showing. I let Bailey out to play. She loves the snow and especially loves catching snowballs in her mouth. She's weird!

Stay tuned, we'll see what falls.

I Heart Edward Cullen!

All you Edward fans: You know you want a shirt like this! I had these shirts made for the kids and teachers that have all fallen in love with the Twilight Series. The boys are all jealous, they want I love Bella shirts. 5 months until the next book! This is my trusty sidekick Gayle! She is wonderful!

(This is not the greatest picture, remember I'm still getting over pink eye and still have to wear my glasses!)
